Obedience

Obedience training is more than teaching your dog to sit, stay, and roll over.  Unique Canine aims to train both you and your dog to work together, by teaching you how to reinforce good behaviors, and teaching your dog how to respond and maintain those good behaviors.

Our obedience training helps you and your dog do the following:

  • Teach your dog to respond to verbal commands, and physical gestures

  • Teach you how to reinforce your dogs good behavior, and maintain the training

  • Make sure your dog keeps his/her newfound knowledge long after the class

  • Offer AKC Canine Good Citizen testing

  • Offer private training/day training/board and train options

Working dogs

Working dog training is minimum of a year long process. We start with training the dog basic obedience, then advanced obedience, then we train the dog for the job that they will be doing.

Unique Canine Working Dog Training will help get dogs ready for a job:

  • Teach the dog how to be confident

  • Teach the dog task

  • Train owner’s on how to work with their new partner

Therapy Dog (Volunteering)

Volunteering with your dog is a good way to help your dog stay outgoing, while also strengthening the bond between you and your dog. It is a great option for you and your dog to give back to the community and have fun at the same time.

Unique Canine offers Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Team Evaluations:

  • We work with Dogs on Duty Therapy Team

  • We offer all 3 levels of CGC testing

  • We offer additional training if your dog doesn’t pass testing

  • You build a bond with your dog and give back to the community.
